Body & Soil Health 2008

This event is creating quite a stir and we are excited to host and bring together four world experts that in their specific fields of understanding will speak on the inner relationship between Body and Soil Health. All 4 speakers are contributers to Acres USA, the voice of eco-agriculture.

Cost is $75 for both days or $50 for one day.

A light lunch will be provided, Please bring food to share. You must make a reservation to attend.

The  event schedule is tenatively as follows:

Day 1 -  all 4 speakers will present.

Day 2 -  Speakers will add pertinent information not covered on day 1 and address questions that are of interest to attendees.  The afternoon we will include a farm tour to Milk and Honey Farm  and CSA which is located just outside of Pahoa town.  this will be a great opportunity for us to see how these presentors look at the practical and hands on issues for farms in our locale.


 Speakers to include:

Dr. Richad Olree - author of "Minerals of the Genetic Code" and his soon to be released book: Minerals of Tumor Supressing Genes.

Dr. Paul Hepperly, the Rodale Institues's Research and Training Manager; expert on composting and cover crops.

Bob Schaffer, Big Island Organic farmer and expert soil consultant in Hawaii and on the mainland.

Jerry Brunetti, 2008 recepient of the highly respected (PASA) Pennsylvania Association for Sustainable Agriculture award, an expert on human health and herd vitality.

Some overnight space is available at the beautiful "Bali" designed-retreat center.
