Non-invasive bamboo, also know as clumping bamboo, is a useful multipurpose plant for the tropics. One beneficial feature is the ease of making more plants from existing plants. Scott Middlekauff will discuss in detail, several methods of propagation that can be tried at home. He will also cover the anatomy, behavior and care of the species. A brief tour will highlight some of the more common useful species available on the island. Non-invasive bamboos can be used for food, windbreak, timber, fodder, hedge or visual barrier.
