Report on the Hawai`i Whole System Project
The Project The Hawaii Whole System Project is a research and action project conducted by Rocky Mountain Institute on behalf of the Omidyar family. The Omidyar Family is pleased to sponsor this project to promote innovative, long-term planning and local self-reliance. With the underlying assumption that local food and agriculture can be good for a community, the goal of the first phase of this project, the phase contained in this document, is to understand the agricultural system on the Island of Hawaii.

Lower your fuel costs with this great idea (pg. 1)
During our solar workshop we presented several ways to save fuel by cooking with alternative methods. The "haybox" is a system that you can modify and cut your fuel costs significantly. If you don't have time to construct one as show in the plans in this download you can just use an old cooler and wrap the cooking pan in a blanket and let it sit in the cooler (now a heater) until you are ready to serve. A little experimentation is necessary to determine cooking times but this is a great way to cut cooking fuel costs significantly! there are 3 pages for this document that you will need to download seperately
